An experienced Los Angeles-area retail business administrator, Eddie Demirdjian has served as chief executive officer of B-Air in Azusa, California, since 2003. Outside of the professional arena, Eddie Demirdjian supports multiple charitable nonprofits, including the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR).
SOAR provides humanitarian aid to Armenian orphaned children and adults with disabilities around the world. One of its flagship programs is the Child Reunification and Family Training (CRAFT) program.
CRAFT has been helping reunite Armenian children with their biological families since 2015. The program consists of four fundamental elements. First, the Service to Children in their Own Homes (SCOH) Sponsorship Fund provides critical finical assistance to children who are at serious risk for re-institutionalization. The Gyumri Social Childcare Center (GSSC) and Community Development and Social Support Center (CDSSC) sponsorship programs also fund the specific needs of children to reduce the likelihood of institutionalization.
The other two arms of CRAFT involve the annual sponsorship of the Reunification Day campaign and the construction of “family suites” at foster care facilities that allow families to visit their children in a pleasant and agreeable environment.
